BMJ Best Practice
The HSE Health Library & Knowledge Service has taken out a national subscription (similar to the Cochrane Library) for the Point-of-Care tool BMJ Best Practice.
You can access it from anywhere in Ireland at: https://bestpractice.bmj.com/
There is also a free app for your mobile device.
"BMJ Best Practice" regularly updates topics through evidence searches which are then reviewed by experts on each specialty. It is UK/Europe-focused and has numerous features including calculators, patient information sheets, procedural videos etc. It has teamed up with Cochrane to develop "Cochrane Clinical Answers" and their EBM toolkit is also well worth a browse for anyone writing or thinking of writing a paper.
